A WORD FROM THE OWNERS

Both of us grew up in New England (VT and ME) and were raised by avid gardeners, farmers, artists, and builders who taught us to love our native landscape. Before we married we had the opportunity to travel, live, and garden in far-off places for 10 years, during which we gained an appreciation for many different styles of landscapes.

Nothing can ever replace a sense of home however, and so we found our selves back here, on a small family farm on the shores of Lake Champlain, designing and building New England landscapes. Rebecca is now a Certified Vermont Horticulturist, and President of Green Works, the Vermont Nursery and Landscape Association. Rebecca is our landscape designer and business manager and Tim leads our landscape crew and specializes in custom stonework.

Rebecca's designs focus on the casual yet elegant, "Country Garden" style you find surrounding fine New England homes - featuring lots of natural stone, abundant perennials, shrubs that provide old fashioned flowers, and noble trees that blend in well with their natural companions.

Most importantly we design, install and maintain Sustainable Landscapes — meaning that they are designed to be both attractive and in balance with the local climate and environment, and require minimal resource inputs. Thus they are functional, cost-efficient, visually pleasing, environmentally friendly and maintainable. Some of the specific solutions we are integrating into our designs include:

  • Reduction of stormwater run-off through the use of bio-swales, rain gardens, green roofs and walls, and permeable paving;
  • Creating and enhancing wildlife habitat in residential backyards;
  • Removing Invasive plant species and planting Native plants;
  • Planting edibles to increase the function of our gardens;
  • Energy-reduction in the form of proper placement and selection of shade trees, and creation of wind breaks;
  • Integration and adoption of renewable energy, including solar-powered landscape lighting;
  • Use of sustainably harvested wood, composite wood products for decking and other landscape projects;
  • Soil management techniques, including composting kitchen and yard wastes, to maintain and enhance healthy soil that supports a diversity of soil life; and
  • Organic Pest Control.

Please take this opportunity to review our website and then give us a call so we can discuss how we can help you bring your landscape dreams to life. We look forward to speaking with you soon.

Sincerely,
Tim & Rebecca Lindenmeyr
